You must register and be a validated SeedLiving member in order to swap. Swappers and sellers can be anyone who grows or produces seeds and plants. They could be seed savers, rural or urban farmers, gardeners, permaculturists, woofers, seniors, students, schools, universities, botanical gardens, zoos, museums, municipalities, community gardens, family farms, horticultural groups, nurseries and subsistence farmers to name a few. By swapping and selling your homegrown seeds and plants you are helping to enrich the planet’s biodiversity while enriching your community and your pocket book.
You can swap open pollinated, untreated seeds, live plants and other items grown and produced by registered sellers and swappers.
Diseased, illegal or prohibited seeds or living plants. Check your country’s regulations about importing items prior to completing the transaction. SeedLiving prohibits the sale or swap of copywritten or genetically modified seeds.
You must be a registered and validated member in order to swap items on SeedLiving. Registration is free. In order to swap you must be logged on. On the trade table you will find a list of available items from various sellers. You do not have to be a seller to order items on the trade table. For these items you need only pay the seller’s shipping fee. The seller is required to send the item once the shipping is paid in order to keep their account in good standing. There are also instances where you as a seller may wish to swap for a particular item from another seller. In this case each party needs to have items available for swap. Find an item listed by a seller for which you wish to swap and ‘Request a Swap’ for that item on the page where the item is listed in detail. The seller then receives that request and either accepts or rejects the requested swap. In this instance each party has to pay shipping fees for the items.
